I use 'active subjects' almost exclusively to see the latest activity. But I see a lot of stuff from the, shall we say, 'lower signal-to-noise' sections of this otherwise wonderful site. Is it possible to pick and choose the forums that are included in the 'active subjects' display?

I don't think any of the contributors want to know which ones you are defining as low SNR. Smile

As an aside, there is a theory out there that really creative people have noisy brains. Neurons fire at about 30 mV (if I remember correctly) and people with noisy brains have many random firings at greater than 30 mV. Thus they sometimes think of really off the wall directions, both positive and negative. And of course very creative people also tend to be crazy so maybe the guy is correct.

Interesting theory. I wonder if that explains why my wife looks at me in that certain "where the heck did that come from " look?

With a kid on the way, I know she is seriously wondering what is generic and what isn't.

Brain fired too fast. Meant genetic, not generic. Not sure if there is a difference...
